Biometric based Exam Gate Authentication System with SMS Alert using arduino and GSM


Biometric authentication is essential in organizations, businesses, colleges, and universities. One of the most often recurring problems is security in the exam room. This biometric will aid in maintaining attendance and security in the exam room because maintaining attendance verification is a time-consuming and laborious task. The purpose of this cutting-edge authentication system is to recognize candidates and provide them access. The project will initially initialize GSM after powering on the system. The administrator will then be prompted to call in order to register their phone number, and following the delivery of an SMS confirming their registration, a user will be required to enroll candidates' fingerprints.

After enrolling a user fingerprint, the system can be activated, and after a person with permission scans their fingers, the door opens and an SMS is sent to the admin notifying him about the candidate. Additionally, if an unauthorized user tries to log in, the system denies access, and after a third unsuccessful attempt, an SMS is sent to the administrator informing them of the problem.
