Rwanda is a country in Africa with many mountains covered in forest. These forests are home to a variety of animal species, making it a popular tourist destination. The most appealing geographical ecology is Rwanda's national volcanic park (NVP) forest, which is home to mountain gorillas. Gorillas are among the creatures that draw the majority of tourists to Rwanda, and they are constantly traveling across the vast forest in search of food. The guards' and tourists' ability to easily detect them is hampered by these displacements in such a setting.
In this research thesis, we present a technique for determining the gorillas' whereabouts in real-time utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Various sensors, an Arduino microcontroller, an ESP8266 module, and communication protocols such as MQTT are used to implement this project.
