Mining Tracking & Worker Safety Helmet using nodemcu esp8266

The production of goods, infrastructure, and services that improve people's quality of life depends entirely on mining. As a society, we are fortunate to benefit from the numerous benefits that industrially produced goods offer us through processing these basic resources. Risks to one's health and safety are numerous when working in the ground. The atmosphere underground is frequently unstable or unpleasant. Running jobs could be more hazardous the deeper the mines are. There is a limited oxygen leak, and if a crisis arises, leaving a mine presents difficulties. Therefore, utilizing a microcontroller based circuit on the worker helmet, we suggest a mining tracking and safety system for the mining industry.

To identify workers moving throughout the entire mining site, we deploy rf-based circuitry. An RF-based tracking system that is embedded into the helmet works in tandem with tracker RF devices to help transmit data over IOT. The system uses rf tracker circuitry based on an Atmega microcontroller to receive the data sent by worker helmet nodes. This aids in mapping out where each worker is right now on the mining site.

Additionally, each worker helmet circuit includes an emergency/panic button. When hit, this button displays an emergency sign regarding the worker emergency on the IOT web interface. This can be utilized for a variety of crises, including physical injuries, cave-ins, hazardous gas inhalation, and more. Thus, the system uses IOT to guarantee the safety of mining workers.
