Smart Hydroponic Grow Chamber for Indoor Farming

Smart Hydroponic Grow Chamber for Indoor Farming

Indoor farming and gardening represent the future of agriculture, enabling cultivation without the need for extensive tracts of land. These practices can be enhanced through smart grow chambers that provide plants with the optimal conditions for growth. This project designs a three-layer indoor farming/gardening unit utilizing a programmable hydroponic system.

Hydroponic farming eliminates the need for soil, relying instead on a sophisticated water supply and drainage system, coupled with airflow and artificial sunlight, to create an ideal growing environment. This system supports all-weather indoor farming, allowing for the year-round cultivation of organic produce.

System Overview:

  1. Sensor Monitoring: The system employs sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, and water levels within the grow chamber.
  2. User Programming: Users can program the desired temperature range and humidity levels.
  3. Environmental Control: The system automatically operates fans to maintain the programmed temperature and humidity conditions.
  4. Water Management: Water sensors check the water level, and pump motors add or remove water as necessary.
  5. Light Regulation: Artificial sunlight is automatically controlled based on user instructions to maintain proper temperature and light for plant growth.
  6. Water Supply: An onboard water tank maintains the water supply and sounds an alert when it needs refilling.
  7. Control System: An onboard controller circuit runs the entire setup according to user programming.

This fully automated system ensures optimal plant growth conditions, making indoor farming and gardening more efficient and accessible.
