Smart Urban Gardening System

Smart Urban Gardening System

Urban gardening has become increasingly popular as city dwellers seek to grow their own food and green their living spaces. However, managing an urban garden efficiently can be challenging due to space constraints and the need for continuous monitoring and care. The Smart Urban Gardening System addresses these challenges by leveraging the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) to automate and optimize urban gardening tasks.

The proposed system consists of a network of interconnected sensors and actuators designed to monitor and manage various aspects of plant care. Key components include soil moisture sensors, light and temperature control units, and nutrient dispensers, all of which are connected to a central hub. This hub collects data from the sensors and uses it to make real-time adjustments to the gardening environment, ensuring optimal growing conditions for plants.

A mobile application serves as the user interface, allowing gardeners to monitor the health and progress of their plants remotely. The app provides real-time data on soil moisture, light levels, and temperature, as well as alerts for any necessary interventions such as watering or nutrient addition. Additionally, the app offers gardening tips and tracks the growth stages of plants, helping users to manage their gardens more effectively.

By automating routine tasks and providing actionable insights, the Smart Urban Gardening System aims to make urban gardening more accessible and enjoyable. It reduces the time and effort required for garden maintenance while increasing the likelihood of successful plant growth. This innovative system has the potential to transform urban gardening, making it easier for city residents to grow their own fresh produce and contribute to greener urban environments.
