Smart women menstrual cycle IOT device

Smart women menstrual cycle IOT device
In Rwanda, the teenage pregnancy rates have increased from 6.1% in 2010 to 7.3% in 2015 (RDHS 2015). Furthermore, 49.6% of teen mothers had their first pregnancy between the ages of 12 and 17. Unintended pregnancy often leads to unplanned births. Some 37% of births in Rwanda each year are unplanned—a proportion that varies slightly by province, from 34% in the West and the North to 37–40% in Kigali City, the South and the East. Some unintended pregnancies end in abortion all due to lack of information about reproductive health services and some of Rwandan people they are still using traditional method called (urunigi). This often shows their failures and there are bringing different adverse effects.

As described above, in Rwanda, the rise of unintended pregnancies has become very challenging to young women and teenagers due to lack or less sexual reproductive health services information, which leads them and their family to unplanned births or abortion. That why we designed menstrual cycle device that use Arduino uno as controller connected with liquid crystal display and gsm to send the message to the user Simply menstrual cycle is part of body's way of preparing for a possible pregnancy each month.

Understanding how the process works is important, since you can use information given by this device to help the user know when she is in fertile, infertile, ovulating days via messages to the phone and our device will inform the user through liquid crystal display. Figure out what is really happening in your period cycle and know when ovulating better manage any symptoms you are experiencing, and understand digitally when there might be a problem.

That why we designed and implemented The project entitled 'Design and Implementation of Menstrual cycle device' it is the electronic device that helps woman and girls to track their menstrual period so that they could not be surprised and also help them to avoid an unintended pregnancies as it captures dairy records and inform the owner immediately, simply menstrual cycle is part of body’s way of preparing for a possible pregnancy each month. Understanding how the process works is important, since you can use information given by these device to help to either get pregnant, avoid getting pregnant, figure out what is really happening in your period cycle and know when ovulating to better manage any symptoms you are experiencing, and understand digitally when there might be a problem
