Grove - mini PIR motion sensor
RWF 15,000.00
The Grove - Mini PIR Motion Sensor is a compact and efficient motion detection module designed for use in various automation and security projects. It utilizes Passive Infrared (PIR) technology to detect human motion by sensing changes in infrared radiation levels emitted by the human body. The sensor is highly sensitive and can detect motion within a specific range, typically up to a few meters. It features a low power consumption design, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. With its easy integration into the Grove system, it can be quickly connected to microcontrollers like Arduino for building motion-triggered systems such as lights, alarms, or smart home automation projects.
Product Description
Features
- Adjustable sensitivity: a reserved pin out on board to solder a slide rheostat to adjust the sensitivity
- Easy to use: Grove compatible interface and supports both Arduino and Raspberry Pi platforms
- Mini size:20mm x20mm x12mm
The detection distance in the datasheet is up to 3m to 5m, however, 2m is the best detection distance that we recommend and 25? is the most suitable temperature.
The sensitivity of the sensor is adjustable, there is a reserved pin out on the back of the board so that you can solder a slide rheostat to adjust the sensitivity. If you think the sensitivity is not enough, here is a trick, drag the plastic cap a little up will help enhance the sensitivity.
Applications
- Motion Sensor
- Motion Detector
- Security Alarm System
- Human Detection System
