Streetlight Monitoring System using nodemcu esp8266 - arduino


A substantial amount of energy is consumed by streetlights. Streetlights frequently stay on even when no one is in the roadway. This IOT-based streetlight monitoring system allows us to effectively track and manage the energy usage of streetlights. In this Internet of Things (IoT) project, street lights are equipped with LDR sensors that can track human and vehicle traffic. The microcontroller receives a signal from the sensor if it detects any movement in the street, at which point, the street light is turned on. Similar to this, the microcontroller turns off the lights when there is movement in the street. This will result in significant energy savings.

One of the better IoT safety projects is this one. Not only that, but users of the smart light system may also keep an eye on the estimated power usage based on the brightness of a streetlight at the moment. It has a load sensing feature built in that can find any problems with the lights. The system immediately labels a specific light as broken if it detects an issue and transmits the information to the IoT monitoring system so that it may be corrected right away.
